Municipalities
Jones Estates is located in the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River. This is where you will apply for your building and development permits. The offices are located in the Town of Slave Lake.
The Town of Slave Lake is about an hour northwest of the development. It is a town of about 6800 people where you can gather supplies, go out for a meal and see a movie. It is on the shores of Alberta’s second-largest lake, Lesser Slave Lake.
The Town of Athabasca is just 30 minutes away, to the southeast on Highway 2. Athabasca is a charming and scenic town on the banks of the Athabasca River. It has a thriving arts scene and year-round events. There are a variety of restaurants for delicious meals and many shops to browse for fun.
If you like to golf, you’ll find the Athabasca Golf & Country Club, a challenging 18-hole course with clubhouse or Rocky Lane Fairways, both just outside of the Town.
